The sensor works with 1 AAA battery.
The life of the AAA battery guarantees a duration of more than 2 years.
The magnetic bar only sends a signal to the receiver when the window is opened. As you can imagine, this signal does not represent a large waste of energy, so the battery has a very long life span.
